These terms govern your use of DocCollector. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

DocCollector is a document collection platform that allows accountants and financial professionals to request and receive documents from their clients securely.

Account Terms

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use this service
  • You may not use the service for any illegal purposes

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Use the service to store illegal content
  • Resell or redistribute the service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Circumvent security measures or rate limits

Your Data

  • You retain ownership of all documents and data you upload
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share documents
  • We do not access or review your documents except as required to provide the service or comply with law
  • You can delete your data at any time through your account settings

Client Access

When you send a document request to a client:

  • A unique, time-limited link is generated for document upload
  • Links expire 30 days after the request is sent
  • You are responsible for sending links only to intended recipients
  • Clients can upload documents without creating an account

Payment and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
  • Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods
  • We may change prices with 30 days notice

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocCollector shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

Termination

  • You may close your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
